Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Dekna shared that she grew up and was largely raised by the elderly woman, whom she fondly calls “nenek”, from a young age.

She explained that life wasn’t always easy for nenek, who had to care for children with disabilities.

“I was raised by nenek since I was young. Life wasn’t easy for her back then. She had to care for children with disabilities, including one who was mute,” she said.

“Happy Hari Raya, nenek. Even though we are of different religions, she is the only grandmother I have right now. Wishing you nothing but the best,” she wrote in her caption.
