A 23-year-old woman was fined RM100 by the Magistrate’s Court in Kuala Lumpur for allegedly humiliating a woman by posting a ‘before and after makeup’ picture of her while live-streaming on TikTok.
According to a report by Kosmo, Magistrate Farah Nabihah Muhamad Dan imposed the fine on Nurul Hidayah Yusuf, a shop assistant, after she pleaded guilty to a charge under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955, which provides for a maximum fine of RM100.
If she fails to pay the fine, she may face a jail sentence of 2 days. Nurul Hidayah paid her fine.

Based on the charge, Nurul Hidayah was accused of humiliating a 23-year-old woman by posting a picture of the woman as the background image on a live-stream on TikTok, and comparing the woman’s looks before and after makeup, without the woman’s permission.
She did this at a condominium in Sentul at about 10:51am on April 5.
The victim found out about the livestream after she received a WhatsApp message from her friend who shared a screen recording with her.
Following this, she filed a police report as she felt the live-stream session embarrassed her as she was being compared with and without makeup.
During the proceedings, Nurul Hidayah, who was not represented by a lawyer, appealed for a lighter sentence because she had been dismissed from her job.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Amritpreet Kaur Randhawa, on the other hand, requested a proportionate sentence to teach the accused a lesson.
