A local man was allegedly electrocuted to death while he was attempting to steal a Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) cable yesterday morning (Oct 4).
The 10am incident took place along Jalan Acob, Kapar in Klang, where members of the public stumbled upon the man’s body, reported NST.
In a statement by Klang Utara police chief Assistant Commissioner Ramsay Embol, he said police were made aware of the incident following the body’s discovery.

He said initial investigations found that the man, who was in his 40s, suffered an electric shock while stealing the cable. Police also observed that his hand was still attached to the cable.
Cable-cutting equipment and a motorcycle believed to have been used in the attempted theft were also found at the scene.
Ramsay added the man’s family have since identified the body and the case has been classified as sudden death.
The body was later taken to Al-Sultan Abdullah Hospital, UiTM Puncak Alam, for post-mortem examination.
