Speaking exclusively to WeirdKaya, the OP told us that this incident took place yesterday (July 17) in Sibu, Sarawak.

In the short clip, a police patrol car is seen parked by the roadside while two officers attend to the situation — one lifting the wire, and another helping direct traffic.
Despite the potential risks, the officer held the cable up high to prevent it from obstructing traffic or posing danger to passing vehicles.
