A Malaysian woman has opened up about the financial and emotional strain in her marriage, claiming that she has been forced to shoulder most of the household expenses first every month.
In an anonymous post, she said money is now the first thing she thinks about whenever she wakes up.
While she acknowledged that everyone has their own financial pressures, she claimed that she is usually the one who pays for the family’s loans, insurance, children’s school fees and daily expenses upfront.
Her husband would apparently tell her that he would reimburse her for half later. However, she claimed that his repeated delays in paying his share have left her struggling with debt.

Says she has to pay everything first
According to the woman, the pressure has become so overwhelming that there are days when she does not even want to speak to her husband or return home.
Don’t blame me for always looking unhappy. The loans, insurance, school fees and all the other bills are suffocating me every day.”
She added that whenever she sees her husband now, she no longer thinks about romance. Instead, she thinks about debt, loans, insurance and the next bill that needs to be paid.
The woman also expressed frustration over seeing her husband share and comment on social media posts about couples sleeping separately, divorce and a lack of intimacy.
She said her financial stress had affected how she felt towards him, to the point where she no longer wanted to face him.

Questions whether he’s a good husband & father
The woman then questioned whether her husband had truly fulfilled his responsibilities as a husband and father.
She alleged that much of what he did was for appearances, so that people around them would see him as a good husband and father. She also claimed that even their children had said they could not feel his love.
Instead, she said the children felt that their father constantly expected them to behave according to his standards and would scold them whenever they failed to meet those expectations.
Barely spends on herself
The woman also described how she had cut back on her own spending to keep the household running.
She said she avoids unnecessary spending and even visits her own family less often because she does not want to spend more on petrol and highway tolls.

Every month, I save and save. I save on food, spending and everything I use. In the end, what did I get?”
She questioned why she had ended up carrying so much responsibility when the home and children belonged to both of them.
The woman also claimed that much of her current debt was accumulated because her husband repeatedly delayed paying back his share of the household expenses.
Had he paid her on time every month, she said she would not have fallen into so much debt.
‘I regret marrying you’
Towards the end of her post, the woman admitted that she regretted marrying her husband.

She claimed that she had not experienced a truly happy day since getting married, adding that her happiest moments were those spent with her children.
She said she had kept these feelings to herself for years because she had chosen to endure the situation.
However, she warned that her patience would eventually run out. For now, she said simply facing her husband leaves her feeling exhausted, irritated and overwhelmed.
