A resident of a public housing flat in Kampung Kasipillay, Kuala Lumpur, has captured attention online after transforming his 20-year-old home into a modern apartment-like space, all for less than RM50,000.

The story was shared on TikTok, who documented her father’s impressive renovation journey.

In the TikTok video, Nurul first shows the corridor outside the flat, which looks like a typical public housing block.

However, stepping into her father’s unit reveals a stark contrast — a home that looks like it belongs in a high-end apartment complex.

Elegant and Minimalist Design

The renovated home features a predominantly white theme, with carefully chosen furniture pieces, including a sleek enclosed shoe cabinet and a clean-cut kitchen cabinet.

The rooms are tidy and thoughtfully arranged, exuding a minimalist yet inviting vibe.

One standout feature is the gypsum ceiling installed in the living room, which elevates the space with a sophisticated touch.

Nurul shared that her father saved diligently over the years from his salary to bring this vision to life.

The entire renovation, which covered furniture, decor, and construction work, was completed on a budget of less than RM50,000.
