A Malaysian woman revealed that she ended her relationship with her boyfriend who claimed he could only afford to give her RM200 a month after marriage.
Wanted a “simple” wedding but took it too far
Reported by Mstar, the woman said her ex-boyfriend wanted to keep everything minimal.
He refused to buy her an engagement ring, asked for a cheap dowry, and even told her to buy her own wedding dress because he “didn’t know how to choose one.”
Whenever she asked for financial help, he accused her of being calculative. He also didn’t want a big wedding, saying it was enough to hold one ceremony on the bride’s side.
“He said RM200 a month was enough”
The woman revealed that the man planned to give her only RM200 a month in spousal allowance after marriage.
He also refused to buy a new car, saying his old Proton Wira was sufficient, and often made her pay for her own meals during dates, claiming it wasn’t his responsibility yet.
Unable to accept his attitude, she eventually decided to end the relationship.
