This October, M Social Resort Penang is turning its lobby pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, inviting guests and the Penang community to come together through its “Ribbon of Hope” installation and thoughtfully curated Pink October food and beverage offerings.
“Pink October is a cause close to our hearts, and we wanted to create something that allows our guests and the community to participate in a more personal way,” said Jasmine Keh, General Manager of M Social Resort Penang. “Through the Ribbon of Hope and our Pink October offerings, we hope to create a space for people to come together, show their support, and contribute towards a cause that continues to touch so many lives.”
Running throughout October, the campaign brings together awareness, remembrance, and giving back, with a portion of proceeds from selected Pink October offerings going towards Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital, supporting its continued work in providing compassionate and accessible cancer care to patients and families in need.
Ribbon Of Hope
“Ribbon of Hope” is an interactive installation located in the resort’s main lobby. The installation invites guests to leave a personal message of hope, remembrance, or support, creating a collective expression of solidarity throughout the month.
Guests are encouraged to write the name of someone they wish to honour, celebrate, or remember on a coloured ball before placing it within the pink ribbon sculpture, with each colour carrying a special meaning:
- Pink: For those currently fighting breast cancer
- Green: Honouring survivors and their journeys
- White: In memory of loved ones we have lost
As more messages are added, the Ribbon of Hope will gradually become a shared symbol of the community’s collective strength, reflecting many personal stories and journeys.
The Pink Social Tea Box
Adding a touch of pink to afternoon gatherings, the Pink Social Tea Box brings together a selection of sweet and savoury creations throughout October. A portion of the proceeds from every Pink Social Tea Box sold will be contributed to Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital.
Savoury Selection: Smoked Salmon Croffle, Prawn Lychee Ball, and Tuna & Avocado Tartare Crostini.
Sweet Delights: Indonesian Orange Layer Cake, Fruit Scone with Butter & Cream, Red Bean Snow Mochi, Red Velvet Muffin, Strawberry Fruit Tart, and Fluffy Japanese Cheesecake.
Served daily at The Social Hub from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the Pink Social Tea Box is priced at RM88 nett per set for two persons, with a special “Buy 2 Sets, Get 1 Free” promotion available throughout the campaign.
