Chelsea academy chief Joe Edwards will join manager Frank Lampard's first team staff.
The Sun says Lampard will promote Edwards to his backroom team when he takes over as Chelsea boss.
Edwards has spent 15 years coaching the club's kids at various age groups.
He is one of the country's most successful youth coaches and was in charge of Chelsea's Under-18s when they became the first team to win back to back FA Youth Cups since the Busby Babes.
But next season he will work with the first team squad as Lampard bids to ensure the west Londoners do not suffer too much from the transfer ban FIFA have imposed on them for breaking rules over the signings of youth players from overseas.
