Billy Gilmour made Chelsea's bench for the Super Cup final last night against Liverpool.
Frank Lampard handed the former Rangers youngster another milestone moment by including the teenager in his matchday squad to face the European champions in the Vodafone Arena.
Unfortunately it ended in disappointment for the teen as he never emerged from the bench and his side were beaten on penalty kicks after an enthralling 2-2 draw.
Gilmour impressed during pre-season with Lampard heaping praise on the diminutive midfielder for his "brilliant" showing.
And the Scotland U21 star took his place alongside Marcos Alonso, Willian and Davide Zappacosta on the bench for the clash between the Champions League and Europa League winners.
