MACC continues questioning senior armed forces officer in fund misuse probe

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission continues its investigation into alleged fund misuse, recording a second day of statements from a senior Malaysian Armed Forces officer.

PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) continued recording the statement of a senior Malaysian Armed Forces officer today.

This is part of an ongoing investigation into alleged misuse of funds.

MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said the officer was released at 5 pm.

He added that the investigation is expected to be concluded within a week.

The officer, who is in his 60s, arrived at the MACC headquarters around 10.10 am.

Yesterday’s questioning session lasted about 13 hours, beginning at 11 am and ending at midnight.
