Kota Kinabalu: Music Authors' Copyright Protection (MACP) Berhad brought its Jelajah Malaysia Timur 2.0 roadshow to Kota Kinabalu on Saturday to strengthen copyright awareness among music creators in Sabah.

MACP announced two new East Malaysia categories for Anugerah MACP 2026, relaxed its membership requirement to a single uploaded work with at least 1,000 streams or views, and introduced artificial intelligence (AI) guidelines under which only fully human-created works are eligible for recognition.

The programme also featured the "Pentas Lagu Anak Borneo" student showcase, special performances, a briefing by the Music Publishers Association Malaysia and an interactive Kahoot session with Kupi-Kupi FM.
