Kota Kinabalu: The setting up of controversial Madani Village Development Committees (JKDMs) in Sabah by Sabah Umno, which is not recognised by the Sabah Government, will be discussed.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said this to Daily Express after officiating the state-level Kaamatan Festival closing at Dewan Hongkod Koisaan KDCA, Friday.

Anwar was asked to comment on the move which was slammed by Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) leaders as a desperate attempt by Umno to divide and confuse Sabahans due to the party’s declining fortunes in Sabah.

The JKDM was seen as an attempt to set up mirror the village development and security committees (JKKKs) and only Sabah has been targeted for its implementation.
