PENAMPANG: United Kinabalu Progressive Organisation (Upko) President Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau will not be defending his president post in the coming party election, allowing Vice President Datuk Ewon Benedick to take over.

However, he would defend the Tuaran Parliamentary seat in the GE15.

It would make the 40-year-old Kadamaian Assemblyman the youngest politician to lead a local party.
