KUALA LUMPUR, May 27 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today dismissed a news report claiming he would reshuffle his Cabinet, pointedly saying he would welcome suggestions on which ministers to replace.

Earlier today, a local news outlet published a report speculating that several underperforming ministers could be replaced after six state elections due by August.

“If you have any suggestions, please write to me, and I will consider them,” he said with apparent sarcasm after being asked to confirm the matter.

Earlier today, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi reportedly said it was the PM’s prerogative to reshuffle the Cabinet.

When asked about the current ministers’ performance, Ahmad Zahid said he was proud of what the government has done so far.

Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Penang, Kelantan, Terengganu, and Kedah must hold their state elections this year after all six did not dissolve their state assemblies for the 15th general election last November.
