Malacañang debunks cancellation of classes post online

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang on Monday debunked a circulating image online that the palace recommended a shift to alternative arrangements in government offices and schools in the National Capital Region (NCR) and 12 other provinces.

In a viber message, Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Claire Castro said the online post was fake.

The image online showed that Memorandum Circular No. 127 orders alternative work arrangements for government offices and alternative learning modes for schools in NCR, Zambales, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Laguna, Quezon, and Occidental Mindoro due to the heavy rains caused by the southwest monsoon or habagat.
