
Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia Airlines was named Best Airline Staff in Asia at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards, while its cabin crew ranked third in the World’s Best Airline Cabin Crew category, up five places from eighth in 2025.
The national carrier also climbed six places to 21st in the World’s Best Airline category, moved from sixth to second in World’s Best Airport Services and debuted at 18th in World’s Best Business Class Airlines, according to the group’s website.
It advanced four places to 12th in World’s Best Economy Class Airlines and moved to 11th in World’s Cleanest Airline, while retaining 10th place among the Top 10 Best Airlines in Asia.
Malaysia Aviation Group president and group chief executive officer Captain Nasaruddin A Bakar said the recognition reflected the collective efforts of staff across the airport, onboard and behind the scenes to deliver Malaysian Hospitality throughout the customer journey.
Over the past two years, Malaysia Airlines has focused on cabin comfort, in-flight dining and cabin crew service, including expanded hospitality training, strengthened service standards and more than 20 enhancements across key customer touchpoints, while receiving 29 new aircraft to date and planning to build a fleet of 117 modern aircraft by 2035.
