
Malaysia’s role as a facilitator in the Thailand-Cambodia conflict will be raised in the Dewan Rakyat today, alongside questions on Putrajaya’s ART system and food security projects.
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s diplomatic role as a facilitator in the Thailand-Cambodia conflict is scheduled for discussion in the Dewan Rakyat today.
Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad (BN–Simpang Renggam) will direct his question on the matter to the Foreign Minister during the oral question-and-answer session.
The issue’s implications for Malaysia’s international credibility are also expected to be raised.
In the same sitting, Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa (PH–Sekijang) will ask the Prime Minister about the status and official start date for the Automated Rapid Transit (ART) system in Putrajaya.
She will also seek details on plans to expand the route for better connectivity to government complexes and transport stations.
Meanwhile, Datuk Siti Zailah Mohd Yusoff (PN–Rantau Panjang) will question the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security about high-impact projects under the National Food Security programme.
She will ask for details on their scope, locations, and allocations nationwide.
The sitting is also scheduled to continue with the tabling of the Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link Bill 2026 for its first reading.
This will be followed by ministerial winding-up speeches on the motion of thanks for the Royal Address.
