Foreign Ministry (Wisma Putra) in a statement today said this latest attack by the Israeli regime is another blatant disregard and disrespect for international human rights and humanitarian laws.

"The international community needs to act in unison to end the decades-long persecution of the Palestinian people,” the statement read.

Wisma Putra said Malaysia called upon the international community to firmly censure the Israeli regime for incessantly committing the inhumane oppressions and dreadful crime of apartheid against the Palestinians.

Malaysia also urged the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to hold Israel accountable for all its violations and atrocities.

"Malaysia stands firm by our principled position that the Palestinians deserve their own independent and sovereign state, based on the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its Capital,” said Wisma Putra.

According to media reports, three senior military commanders of the Islamic Jihad group, their wives, and children were among those killed in the Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since Tuesday.
