Malaysian influencer Okokokmou recently received body-shaming comments again when she posted a series of pictures of her in the Jewel Changi airport. A few years ago, she was body-shamed after posting vacation pictures of herself in a bikini.
On 16 May 2023, the influencer and content creator shared a few pictures of her in Singapore Changi Airport. She included the caption “I really like the airport in Singapore “. In the pictures, she is wearing a brown crop top and is posing confidently.

Her post received several body-shaming comments from netizens. “When an airport goes to an airport,” a comment says. There are also other negative comments which are really disrespectful and show the lack of culture of the users.
Other netizens backed her up by criticising the body-shaming comments. “Should you make fun of her just because she has small breasts?” a netizen said.
Another comment said, “Some people make uneducated statements and think that they are humorous.”
“Stop body shaming, and don’t lack common sense when you’re trying to tell a joke,” another commented.
“The comments here really make me feel that some people shouldn’t be human,” stated a netizen.
Okokokmou has not made any statement regarding the body-shaming comments. It’s already 2023, it is time we grow up, learn to embrace all body types and stop making disrespectful and body-shaming “jokes”.
