A housewife claimed her long-awaited chocolate cake arrived half-eaten, with netizens expressing frustration over alleged courier negligence.
A Malaysian woman recently alleged that food delivered through a delivery platform had been partially eaten before reaching her.
Posting on Threads, the housewife expressed frustration after discovering that the chocolate cake she had been eagerly waiting for appeared to have been consumed, with nearly half of it missing from the container.
“I was in tears. It’s not easy for a housewife to buy something she has been longing for. I will never forgive the person who ate my item. May you receive your karma,” she said.
After the post gained traction online, the cake seller responded by offering to replace the allegedly half-eaten item. However, the customer later declined the offer, according to an update she shared.
“My intention in posting this was genuinely just to express my disappointment as a housewife who had been craving it for a long time,” she added.
In the comments section, the woman also said she found it strange that the cake box felt unusually light and arrived in a damaged condition before she opened it.
Many netizens shared her frustration, criticising the courier company over what they described as a lack of accountability. Some users also claimed to have experienced similar incidents involving other food deliveries.
“I’m not angry because of the money. It wasn’t expensive, but they wasted my time. I waited a week and still didn’t get to eat it,” one user commented.
