A foreign national undergoing treatment after the June 3 fire at a stay in south Delhi’s Malviya Nagar succumbed to injuries on Wednesday, police said.
With one more death, the toll has increased to 23, including 14 foreign nationals, they added.
The deceased, a foreign national, was undergoing treatment after the deadly blaze engulfed Flourish stay B&B, a stay spot for many foreign nationals, close to the Max and PSRI hospitals, who came on medical visas for receiving treatment.
Meanwhile, a Delhi court on Wednesday sent Lavkesh Bajaj, the owner of the Malviya Nagar hotel, and Jay Mishra, the hotel’s accountant, to 12-day judicial custody after allowing the plea by the Delhi police.
The order was passed by Justice Bhanu Pratap Singh, who remanded both accused to judicial custody for the period sought by the investigating agency.
Earlier, the court had rejected the bail plea of cook Keshav Negi to 14-day judicial custody.
