BJP MLA from Malviya Nagar, Satish Upadhyay, on Thursday said 17 victims of the hotel fire remain admitted to the hospital, with seven of them on ventilator support, while expressing satisfaction over the improvement in their condition.
After meeting the injured victims undergoing treatment at the hospital, Upadhyay said that the focus of authorities and those involved in relief efforts has remained on ensuring proper medical care and recovery of those affected.
“We have been here since 8:51 am yesterday. Our primary concern has been the well-being of the victims. At present, seven people are on ventilator support, while some others have been discharged. In total, 17 people are still admitted here. I can say that our collective priority has been to ensure their recovery. Many of them are from different countries, including Kenya, Cameroon, and Bangladesh. We are making sure that they receive proper care and treatment… I can say with satisfaction that there has been significant improvement in their condition," he said.
According to the MLA, several of the injured are foreign nationals, including citizens of Kenya, Cameroon and Bangladesh. He said efforts are being made to ensure that all patients receive appropriate treatment and support.
The statement comes as medical teams continue to monitor the condition of those injured in the fire incident, with authorities maintaining close coordination to facilitate their treatment and recovery.
