SANDAKAN: Police apprehended a local man suspected of going on a rampage and injuring five victims at a restaurant in Mile 3 here at 9.11am on Friday.
District police chief ACP Abdul Fuad Abdul Malek said the suspect, armed with a machete and a hammer, had suddenly entered the eatery and attacked members of the public inside the restaurant.
AdvertisementThe injured victims included two men and three women. They are receiving treatment and are reportedly in stable condition at the Duchess of Kent Hospital.
The suspect, who was uninjured, was taken to the police station for further investigation.
