SANDAKAN: A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a lorry driving against traffic on Jalan Sungai Batang, Mile 10, on Friday morning.

District police chief ACP Abdul Fuad Abdul Malek said the accident occurred around 7.30am as the motorcyclist was heading towards the Batu 10 traffic lights.

AdvertisementThe 22-year-old victim was struck by the lorry on a one-way, two-lane road when it drove against the flow of traffic.

The motorcyclist died at the scene, while the 47-year-old lorry driver sustained minor injuries.
