In a video that recently went viral on Facebook, a man can be seen using a bow and fire arrows to burn down an Israeli flag in a school. The video which spans 1 minute and 20 seconds shows a man using his basic archery skills not to compete but rather to show his solidarity with Palestine by burning down an Israeli flag.
The words Israel Koyak and #Cuak can be seen on the Israeli flag before being burned completely to ashes. People including children can also be heard chanting ‘Allahu Akbar’ (God is the Greatest) as the Israeli flag burns down. It is not known in which state in Malaysia it occurred. However, if you pause the video at the 32-second mark, you can see the words, ‘Kedah’ on the school sign.
The school in question is widely believed to be an Islamic Primary School. If you Google the phone number listed on the signboard (which is 04-785 ****), you will get a result that shows you Sekolah Rendah Integrasi Teras Islam SRITI ***** ******* ****. According to Kaligrafi.my, Sekolah Rendah Integrasi Teras Islam (or SRITI for short) is a primary-level educational institution owned by the Malaysian Islamic Party, better known nationwide as PAS (Parti Islam Se-Malaysia). SRITI is managed by the Jabatan Pembangunan Sekolah Rendah - JPSR SRITI, a department under Dewan Pemuda PAS Malaysia.
SRITI is officially launched in 2016 under the JPSR which is responsible for drafting its syllabus, making strategic plans, and expanding its schools all over Malaysia. In 2016 alone, as many as 11 SRITI schools began operating under the JPSR SRITI. When browsing through the website of SRITI, one can see that it has schools in all 13 states including Selangor, Johor, Malacca, Penang etc.
