KOTA KINABALU: An Indonesian man was charged at the Magistrate’s Court Tuesday with the murder of his Indonesian wife at a Kepayan vegetable stall near here, last week.
Grass cutter Jedu Rudu, 42, allegedly murdered his wife, Suria Woade, 38, a coffee shop worker, between 1pm and 2.21pm on April 8.
No plea was taken from Jedu after the charge was read to him before Magistrate Jessica Ombou Kakayun.
Jessica fixed May 15 for mention and ordered Jedu to be remanded further as the charge framed against him has no provision for bail.
It was reported on April 9 that a man was arrested on April 8 for allegedly stabbing his wife, who was assisting her sister at the vegetable stall, to death in a jealous frenzy.
