RANAU: A local man cheated death when the vehicle he was driving veered onto the shoulder of the road, inches away from diving into a deep gorge near here on Sunday.

Head of BBP Ranau Station, PPgB Ridwan Bin Mohd Taib, said the incident happened near Kg Kimolohing Atas Ranau at 11.50pm.

“Arriving at the scene 3k from the station, we found an accident involving a Perodua Kembara that had skidded onto the road shoulder.
