Guardiola has now won the UEFA Super Cup with three different teams, which is a record.
The legendary coach previously took the title with Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
While City were not at their best against Sevilla, they eventually came out on top.
The Spanish side were left to rue missed chances in the second half, with penalties their ultimate downfall.
