Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola admits he wants more from Phil Foden.
While the City manager has been fulsome in his praise for the 22-year-old England midfielder following his three goals in the 6-3 victory over Manchester United, he also ran through a number of areas he could improve upon.
"The impact from Phil when I arrived was wow," said Guardiola, who took over as manager at the Etihad Stadium in June 2016. "Even the second season he started to play in important games.
"He doesn't feel the pressure, a bit like Bernardo - the bigger the stage, he plays better.
"You saw the assist from Erling [against Manchester United], he started from our box and is able to make transitions box to box.
"He can do it but in smaller spaces is good, he can go to the byline or arrive to the box and shoot.
"As a striker, he has the movements in behind and can play false nine. He can do many, many things.
"Phil can play in five positions. He can even play as a left-back, he played a few minutes there in a game at home and he played really, really well.
"But in the middle you have to pay more attention in some aspects where he still has to grow. In the middle you have to pay attention to everything surrounding you.
"I would say with the ball and especially without the ball Phil has to improve, but it's normal, it's his age and with his desire to learn he will do it, no doubts."
