Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola turned down multiple loan requests for Julian Alvarez this summer.

The exciting striker is not first choice at City this season, given the signing of Erling Haaland.

However, he is seen as a key piece within the squad, and Guardiola feels he will get plenty of game time.

According to the Here We Go Podcast, the 22-year-old was wanted by ten teams, including Brighton.

He has already scored two goals in four Premier League appearances this season.

Alvarez is seen as someone who can come on leaps and bounds in the next few months, as he adjusts to England and the Premier League.
