Manchester City defender Nathan Ake has welcomed the competition of new signing Josko Gvardiol.
Ake knows he must battle Gvardiol for a place in City's starting XI.
He told Sky Sports: "I think like everyone else as a player in this team you know the club is going to get the best players possible for every position and that's only a good thing to have competitiveness within the squad.
"[It can] also to help each other reach the next level. [I hope] to go on to win titles together.
"It's always good if the club gets good people, first of all, but very good players as well."
