Manchester City defender Ko Itakura is set to join Borussia Monchengladbach.
After an impressive loan with Schalke last season, the Japan international was interesting Fulham and Nottingham Forest.
However, Sky Deutschland says Itakura is set to sign for Gladbach.
The defender, 25, passed his medical on Friday and is set to sign permanently for a fee of €5m.
Schalke were also keen, but could not afford to turn his loan into a permanent transfer.
