Manchester City striker Erling Haaland shrugged off the taunts of home fans after victory at Manchester United.

Haaland scored twice as City won 3-0 on Sunday.

"It was a fantastic performance, a controlled 90-minute game and every single Manchester City player had a fantastic performance," he said.

"(Our best performance of the season?) I think so - in terms of controlling the game and playing the football we wanted to play. It is not easy but the way we managed to keep going and the game was incredible."

On his assist for Phil Foden, he added: "I had a lot of chances could have scored more goals but when a teammate is in a better position you play to them, easy as that."

"In the big picture it is three points. You need consistency throughout the whole season in the competition. There are still 84 points so it's just about getting three points week in, week out."

United fans chanted "Keano, Keano" at Haaland during the game in reference to United captain Roy Keane and his tackle on the striker's father, Alf-Inge Haaland, which left him with a broken leg.

"There was so many people singing 'Keano' - I don't why, I used it as motivation. I gave them a good celebration," he added.
