Manchester City have made it clear they will target a new centre-back this summer, if they lose Nathan Ake.
The Dutch defender, who can play left-back and centre-back, is wanted by Chelsesa.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that City will only sell Ake on their terms this summer.
And if they do part with the Dutchman, they will look at RB Leipzig's Josko Gvardiol as a replacement.
They are also pushing to secure left-back Marc Cucurella from Brighton and Hove Albion.
Chelsea are also closing on the signing of Raheem Sterling from City.
