KOTA KINABALU: A man in his 30s died after the car he was driving skidded off the road and fell 10 metres beneath a bridge at Jalan Kionsom, Kampung Kitobu early Monday.
A team of eight firefighters from the Lintas Fire and Rescue Station responded to the emergency at 3.19am and retrieved the victim using a basket stretcher before handing him over to the police.
The victim was confirmed dead at the scene by a medical officer from the Health Ministry, and the operation ended at 4.03am.
