PENAMPANG: Penampang District Police confirmed a three-vehicle accident involving a four-wheel drive (4WD) and two parked cars at the Taman Suria Apartment parking area on Tuesday morning.
Initial investigations found that the 59-year-old local male driver of the 4WD is believed to have suffered a heart attack while driving, causing him to lose control and crash into the parked vehicles.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
The death has been classified as a sudden death report (SDR), while the accident is being investigated under Rule 10 LN 166/59.
Police advised the public to drive carefully and prioritize road safety, and urged anyone with information related to public safety to contact the authorities.
