KOTA MARUDU: A Proton Saga and a Mitsubishi Triton collided on Jalan Manggaris, here, Sunday killing a man and injuring five others, including three children.
The Proton Saga driver, Jailip Madapun, 52, succumbed to his injuries at the scene following the 8.30am tragedy.
The five injured were travelling in a Mitsubishi.
They were admitted to Kota Marudu Hospital for minor injuries.

The team rescued the Saga driver who was trapped in the vehicle however medical officials pronounced him dead at the scene.
The body has been handed over to the police for further action.
