Man dies in collision with two lorries in Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: A 36-year-old Four Wheel Drive (4WD) driver died on the spot following a collision with two lorries along Km10 Jalan Lahad Datu-Sandakan, here, Saturday.

The 11.30am incident involved the 4WD and a Hino lorry which in the same direction as well as a tanker lorry in the opposite direction.

District Police Chief, ACP Rohan Shah Ahmad said the incident occurred when the 4WD heading to Sandakan from Lahad Datu attempted to overtake a vehicle but collided with an upcoming tanker lorry.

"Initial investigations revealed that the 4WD was attempting to overtake a vehicle and entered the opposing lane.
