A 26-YEAR-OLD Myanmar man was discovered dead with 29 stab wounds to his neck in a room of a shop-house near Jalan Besar Bukit Pelandok last Sunday, in what police suspect was a deliberate killing.
Port Dickson District Police Chief, Superintendent Maslan Udin, said authorities received a report of the incident at 9.45 pm on Monday.
“The victim, fully clothed, was found lying face down with multiple stab wounds to the neck. The incident is believed to have occurred while the victim and the suspect, who is also his compatriot, were consuming alcohol in the room,” he stated on Wednesday.
The suspect, a 21-year-old fellow Myanmar national, allegedly carried out the attack while under the influence of alcohol. The motive remains under investigation, according to police.
Both men worked as pork roasters and were acquaintances from their workplace.
A post-mortem examination conducted on Tuesday, lasting more than five hours, confirmed that the cause of death was multiple stab wounds to the neck, totalling 29 separate injuries.
The suspect was arrested in the Bukit Pelandok area on Monday and is now remanded for seven days. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. - February 11, 2026
