KINABATANGAN: A man in his 30s is feared to have been attacked by a crocodile while casting nets in a river near Ladang Sepagaya, Kampung Suan Lamba here.

Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station chief Hairi Utoh said they received an emergency call from the district police headquarters at 4.10pm on Friday about the incident, believed to have occurred on Thursday noon.

The victim was reported missing after failing to return home, with only his slippers and fishing gear found at the scene.

Firefighters are currently en route to the location to carry out a search and rescue (SAR) operation.
