SIPITANG: The search and rescue (SAR) operation continues for the second day for a 52-year-old man feared to have been attacked by a crocodile while collecting driftwood at Sungai Mengalong in Kampung Banting.
District Police Chief Supt Awang Anak Suanda said the victim, Punggut Madin, was reported missing by his younger brother who claimed to have seen a crocodile drag him into the river on Thursday.
The incident occurred while the victim was with his brother and two nephews, prompting an emergency call to Mers999 and the mobilisation of police and rescue teams.
