Man found dead in Likas, believed electrocuted

Kota Kinabalu: A 43-year-old man was found dead, believed to have been electrocuted, while looking for crabs near Lorong Kuala Neutron, Kampung Likas, here, Thursday night.

Lintas Fire and Rescue Station Chief, Senior Assistant Fire Superintendent Agustavia Joe Guasi, said they received an emergency call at 10.45pm and dispatched 10 personnel and a fire engine to the scene.

Advertisement“Upon arrival, we found a male victim believed to have been electrocuted while engaging in crabbing activities. The fire team moved the victim to a safe location after the power supply was cut off by Sabah Electricity,” she said, Friday.

She added that a thorough examination confirmed the victim, Abdul Ghazali, had died, as certified by a medical officer from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM).
