MANILA, Philippines — A man was found dead inside a condominium in Tondo, Manila, on Sunday night, while the alleged suspect later fell from the building and was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
According to the initial report of the Manila Police District (MPD) on Monday, the incident happened at 9:12 pm Sunday, when witnesses found the victim, a 39-year-old resident, lying naked in the hallway.
A cursory examination revealed multiple blunt force injuries to the head and face. The victim was then declared dead.
Meanwhile, the MPD said that while the witnesses were headed to the security office to report the incident, they saw the suspect, a 27-year-old male and resident of the same condominium, lying on the ground floor of the same building where he reportedly fell from the 8th floor.
The suspect was rushed to Tondo Medical Center but was pronounced dead at 9:40 pm. Medical findings indicated his injuries were consistent with a fall from height.
The MPD is conducting a full investigation into the incident.
