SEMPORNA: Marine police detained a man and seized 41 boxes of cosmetics believed smuggled in from the Philippines.
The cosmetics worth RM257,900 were seized in a raid at jetty areas in Kampung Sum Sum, Tampi-Tampi, at 10.30pm on Thursday.
Sabah (Region Four) Marine Police Commander ACP Nazri Ibrahim said the items did not have any valid dicuments.
He said a Proton Exora was also seized.
All the seized items as well as the suspect were taken to Semporna marine base for further action.
The case is being investigated under Section 135 of the Customs Act 1967.
