Police arrested a man to assist investigations into a fatal Shah Alam brawl where a man was fatally struck by a vehicle. Probe under Section 302 ongoing.
SHAH ALAM: Police have arrested a man to assist in investigations into a fight involving several individuals in Taman Alam Megah here, believed to have occurred recently.
Shah Alam District Police Chief ACP Sarudin Samah said the suspect was arrested following information received from the public regarding a fight involving a group of men in the area.
“A review of closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage showed a group of men engaged in a fight, with several of them seen slashing one another.
“A blue multi-purpose vehicle was also seen striking one of the suspects, who died at the scene who died at the scene,” he said in a statement.
Earlier, a one-minute video dated Aug 23, 2026, went viral on social media showing a group of individuals fighting on the road before one of them was struck by a vehicle.
Sarudin said police had opened an investigation paper under Section 302 of the Penal Code and urged anyone with information to contact senior investigating officer ASP Shamsiah Noor Zakaria at 012-8308706 or the nearest police station.
He also urged the public to refrain from speculating about the incident.
