
LAHAD DATU: A 28-year-old man suffered injuries after his 4WD skidded and plunged into the ravine at Jalan Silam, Sunday.
District Fire and Rescue Station Chief, Sumsoa Rashid said, his department received a distressed call at 12.48pm.
A team of firefighters was deployed to the scene, located 12km away, in a fire engine, EMRS vehicle and 4WD.
Upon arrival, the team discovered that the incident involved a Mazda Fighter which skidded and plunged into 80ft deep ravine.

Read more The victim managed to escape from his vehicle but suffered injuries on his leg.
“The team provided initial treatment on the victim and sent him to the hospital for further treatment,” he said, adding that the operation ended at 1.35pm.
