TAMPARULI: A 67-year-old suffered burns on his right hand in a house fire near Tamparuli Point, here, Wednesday.
Tuaran District Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) Chief Kurong Ak Beki said the fire department received an emergency call regarding the incident at 4.21pm.
Nine firefighters were dispatched to the scene along with one fire engine and one Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) utility vehicle.
“Upon arrival at the location, the fire team found that a non-permanent house was 90pc destroyed by the fire.” The victim was sent to Tuaran Hospital for treatment.
