Upset that the bus didn’t slow down to pick him up at the bus stop, an elderly man decided to make his dissatisfaction known by blocking it for the next one hour.
According to Shin Min Daily News, the incident took place at a bus stop in front of Block 156A at Rivervale Crescent, Sengkang in Singapore yesterday (Oct 11) at 7pm.
A reader named Chen told Shin Min that she witnessed the man standing in front of the bus and waving his arms repeatedly with agitation written all over his face.

Failed to flag bus down
When Shin Min dug further, they discovered that the man had apparently failed to flag the bus down, leading the driver to assume he didn’t need to be picked up.
When the bus stopped at a pedestrian crossing, the man stormed up to it and blocked it with his own body while yelling at the driver to let him onboard.
For the next one hour, the man continued his angry tirade against the bus driver, leaving passengers with no choice but to disembark.
Chen told Shin Min that the man refused to leave the scene, prompting a member of the public to contact police.

Traffic back to normal
In the end, the man boarded the bus and spoke with police officers inside the vehicle.
By the time Shin Min reporters arrived, both the man and bus had left, and traffic conditions had returned to normal.
Chen said due to the impasse, one lane was blocked and all 10 cars behind the bus had to reverse one by one before switching to another lane.
She added that although the incident did not cause a serious traffic jam, it still inconvenienced other road users.
