
TAWAU: An unemployed man who stole 300 chicken eggs was jailed six months by the Magistrate’s Court, here, Wednesday.
An IMM13 holder, Rakib Hassan, 39, pleaded guilty before Magistrate Don Stiwin Malanjun to stealing the eggs in 10 trays at 9.30am on Oct 13 at the parking area of Tapak 100 Tahun, Jalan Dunlop here.
ASP Nur Intan Jamrin informed the court that Rakib stole the eggs worth RM147 from the storage compartment of a 4WD vehicle.
Rakib sold the eggs at RM10 per tray to an unknown individual before he was arrested by police at 11.55am the same day when he returned to the parking area.
